HOTEL FOUGERE, Paris – A Smart Stay in the City

My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The location is superb, close to the river and surrounded by charming cafes and restaurants. The rooms have a unique touch with old tapestries and headboards, though the mirror was a bit tricky and we wished there were more offered water. The air conditioning was a blessing in the summer heat of Paris.

The hotel is small but very sweet with comfortable rooms that surprised me with modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and a water cooker for tea and coffee. The service was superb, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The location was excellent, steps away from great restaurants and shopping areas. The dining experience was basic but of high quality. Overall, a great value for the price.

Staying at this hotel was a real mixed bag. Although I loved the historic charm of the room with its old tapestries and modern amenities, the noise from Rue Bonaparte was quite bothersome. The service, especially from Carlos and Eric, was top-notch, but the location required a lot of walking due to the Paris strike. The dining experience was decent, offering standard breakfast choices, but the value for money was better than nearby cafes.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, except for the bathroom, which has been updated with new tub, toilet, and sink. The service was superb, with courteous and knowledgeable staff, particularly Eric and Carlos. The location is just wonderful, close to many great shops and attractions, although parking can be a bit challenging. The dining was good value with a cozy atmosphere. Overall, a great value for the money with some minor drawbacks.

The hotel was smaller than my bathroom at home, but stepping up to the deluxe rooms was worth it. The rooms had a lovely old style, and despite being a little noisy, it wasn't a big issue. The service was welcoming and informative, with lovely people organizing a shuttle bus to the airport, although the advice on brasseries wasn't entirely accurate. The location is quite convenient, just a five-minute walk from the Seine, surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The dining experience is basic but convenient, ideal for a relaxed morning in the garden room starting at 7:30. Despite the size issue, the hotel offers value for money.
